1. Conic Hill – The best walk for stunning views

Starting from the gorgeous little village of Balmaha on the east side of the loch, this quite wee walk climbs steadily to a summit offering breathtaking panoramic views across Loch Lomond and its many islands. The walk takes around two to three hours, depending on how many photos you take (!) making it ideal for families and casual walkers looking for an unforgettable Highland experience. 2. Ben Lomond – Scotland's favourite Munro
Ben Lomond stands at a proud 974 metres, it's Scotland's most southerly Munro and one of the country's most popular mountain climbs. If you’re not sure what a Munro is, it’s any mountain in Scotland with an elevation of over 914.4 metres (or 3,000 feet in old money). The route up offers incredible views stretching across the Highlands, the Trossachs and, on clear days, far beyond.

The trail hugs the eastern shoreline of Loch Lomond, winding through ancient woodland with regular views across the water. It's peaceful, varied and full of opportunities to stop for photographs along the way.

Balloch Castle Country Park offers beautiful woodland paths, colourful gardens and sweeping views over the southern end of Loch Lomond. It's ideal for families, dog walkers or anyone wanting a more relaxed afternoon outdoors.

The walk to the Falls of Falloch is relatively short and suitable for most visitors, leading to a dramatic waterfall surrounded by ancient woodland and Highland scenery. It's particularly impressive after rainfall, when the water crashes dramatically into the gorge below.
